Abstract generation in progress

According to a briefing prepared for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Ukraine may be able to develop a basic nuclear bomb within a few months if Trump withdraws military aid from the United States, according to The Times. The report states that Ukraine will soon be able to manufacture a basic device using plutonium, similar to the 'Fat Man' bomb dropped on Nagasaki in 1945. Making a simple atomic bomb, as the United States did under the Manhattan Project framework, would not be a difficult task 80 years later. Due to a lack of time to build and operate large facilities required for uranium enrichment, Ukraine would have to rely on plutonium extracted from spent fuel rods from Ukrainian nuclear reactors during wartime.
